Helping Kids Build Unshakable Confidence — One Story at a Time
You’ve seen it firsthand: Girls start doubting themselves too early. Confidence gaps in STEM, leadership, and beyond don’t exist because of ability. They exist because of the stories kids hear about themselves.
But stories can be rewritten.
That’s why you’re here.
stories shape beliefs. beliefs shape futures.
Why This Matters
I wrote Charlie and the Funky Monkeys Challenge to help kids (and the grown-ups who care for them) rewrite the narrative about what’s possible.
You want to break the cycle. You’re a leader, an educator, a mentor. You believe in empowering young minds, especially girls, to see their potential beyond stereotypes. Whether you’re guiding the next generation in STEM, advocating for women in leadership, or raising strong, resilient kids—you know this work matters.

Why Me?
As a mother of girl/boy twins, I noticed how often children’s books center boys as the heroes. Many times, I would edit stories as I read to them, making sure my daughter heard messages that reflected her strength, too. This book is part of that effort: To help all kids see themselves as brave, capable, and full of possibility.
As a psychologist with a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology, I’ve spent my career studying how confidence grows, how beliefs shape outcomes, and how we can help kids rise stronger. That’s why I wrote Charlie and the Funky Monkeys Challenge—a story designed to rewrite the narrative for the next generation.
This is for you if…
You want more tools to dismantle limiting beliefs.
You care about closing the confidence gap for girls in STEM and beyond.
You believe in the power of representation, resilience, and self-belief.
